Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery

“Decisions are more important than Incisions”

— Robert Bruce Salter, 1927–2010

At Ruby Hall Clinic, this timeless aphorism shapes every aspect of our vascular practice.

We believe that correct decisions come before incisions. Our commitment to precision, judgment and patient-centred care defines our outcomes—both in life-saving procedures and everyday vascular interventions.

What if saving a limb could also mean saving a life?

That’s a question we often face in the Vascular Surgery Department—not hypothetically, but in the thick of real decisions, with real consequences. Just last week, a farmer from a remote village walked into our clinic with a blackened toe and left, three days later, with his leg salvaged and blood flow fully restored. It’s moments like these that remind us: Vascular Care isn’t just about arteries and veins—it’s about restoring dignity, movement and life itself.

At Ruby Hall Clinic, our Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is more than just a name on a door. It’s a space where complex problems—like diabetic foot ulcers, varicose veins, limb-threatening ischaemia, or sudden strokes—are met with precise hands, sharp minds and a whole lot of heart. Our team, led by Senior Consultants and backed by next-gen imaging and cath lab technology, is built on one belief: outcomes matter, but empathy matters more.

Here, we don’t treat “cases”—we meet people in their most vulnerable moments. A young dialysis patient anxious about his AV fistula; a woman with pelvic congestion syndrome silently carrying years of discomfort; a 70-year-old war veteran showing signs of aortic aneurysm during a routine scan—every story is different, every vessel unique and every decision deeply personal.

Yes, we do the big things—angioplasties, stenting, complex bypasses, and life-saving thrombolysis. But, it’s the smaller, quieter wins that shape our days: the foot that doesn’t get amputated, the clot that doesn’t reach the lungs, the teenager with a rare AV malformation who finally goes back to school.

If you or someone you care about is dealing with a vascular condition—or even just uncertain symptoms like leg swelling, unexplained pain while walking, or wounds that refuse to heal—we’re here. Not just with the latest tools, but with a commitment to listen, explain and guide.

We are proud to be the only institute in Maharashtra offering structured training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery through the prestigious DNB Vascular Surgery programme under the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This makes us not just a Centre of Excellence for patient care, but also a premier hub for nurturing the next generation of vascular surgeons.
