Fine Needle Aspirations
For aspiration of symptomatic simple or complicated cysts, abscesses, postoperative collections, etc.
Core Needle Biopsy
The biopsy is done using single-use disposable biopsy guns for accurate and fast histological diagnosis. They are performed under image guidance with the use of local anaesthesia and strict aseptic measures.
Wire Localisations
Done for minimally invasive, accurate surgeries for non-palpable masses, sometimes for determining the histology of microcalcifications, and in post-NACT cases
Clip Placement
Done for large tumours undergoing neo adjuvant chemotherapy for later localisation for surgery.
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
For determining the histology of suspicious microcalcifications detected on mammography.
Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy and Resection
This is done with the use of a special biopsy system with USG or mammography guidance. Gives a better sample for better histology assessment.
Our surgical treatment for breast cancer delivers excellent results, and is suitable and recommended for clinical or cosmetic objectives:
1.Breast Conservation Surgeries
2. Sentinel Node Biopsy
3.Breast Reconstruction Surgery
4. Advanced Cosmetic Surgery
5.Oncoplastic Surgeries
6.Scarless Surgeries
The scarless surgery for breast cancer is a procedure where small benign adenomas can be removed completely without leaving any scar and without general anaesthesia using a vacuum-assisted breast biopsy system on a daycare basis. This is done under local anaesthesia with the complete removal of the lesions and quick recovery.
Systemic Therapy for Breast Cancer Treatment
We offer multiple medical modalities for the breast cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. All these modalities are suggested to a patient according to the particular stage and subtype of cancer.
Radiotherapy is an essential part of cancer treatment for nearly 80% of breast cancer patients. It is well established that it not only prevents relapses in the breast but has also found to impact overall survival through large studies. There are many sophisticated and advanced techniques available at Ruby Hall Clinic. Our team specialises in and is experienced in the treatment of complex and challenging cases too. We aim to provide treatment with the highest level of quality assurance, with a compassionate approach.
1. DIBH / Cardiac Sparing Radiotherapy
This is a technique useful in breast cancer, particularly left sided tumours, in which the patient is asked to take a deep breath during which the lung expands pushing the breast away from the heart. This can drastically reduce the doses of radiation received by the heart and can thus greatly reduce the chances of any cardiac side effects.
2. APBI (Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation)
For certain select cases, this technique can be used to radiate only a part of the breast at the site of the tumour cavity. Side effects are greatly reduced and the overall time is reduced to just a week, making it logistically feasible.
3.CyberKnife Radiosurgery
CyberKnife is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive robotic radiosurgery system which is dedicated to Radiosurgery / Stereotactic Body or Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT). It delivers highly targeted radiation beams with sub-millimetre precision while minimising damage to surrounding healthy tissue. Its real-time tumour tracking also ensure maximum accuracy, particularly beneficial for treating tumours in difficult-to-reach or previously irradiated areas. CyberKnife can be an extremely effective treatment in select cases, particularly metastatic lesions, and is often part of a personalised, multidisciplinary care plan.
4.Fast Forward/Hypo-Fractionated Radiotherapy
Select patients may be offered these protocols in which the treatment period may be greatly reduced which can be of great help logistically.
5. Image Guided Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IG-IMRT) / Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) / Rapid Arc Therapy
This cutting-edge technique helps to provide unparalleled accuracy and precision during radiotherapy planning and treatment.
